William Ross — Blog

New York, New York

I’ve been here in New York City since September 30 and haven’t found the time to do a single blog post until now. It’s a little lame that I wasn’t able to take, oh, five minutes to sit down and write a few words. Anyhow, it’s been a blast working at the Levi’s Photo Workshop. I get to play with brand new Profoto 2400 Air packs, the whole Profoto system, rare modifiers (including the 240 Giant, an eight-foot parabolic reflector), Leica S2s and M9s, and a bunch of other cool stuff. It’s a little surreal to think that it all gets packed up on the 19th of December after what will be an insane closing party, even though I knew the duration of the project before I signed on. I really don’t know what I’ll be doing for work after this yet, considering my life’s been consumed by this every day for the last two months.

There’s still quite of lot of exploring to do in New York City, and I’m looking forward to that at the end of the month. It doesn’t look like I’ll be going to Paris for the New Year, but it’s definitely on my horizon for the springtime.

Until the next post…
